We all hope that everything will go well on our holiday and we’ll have a great time with no accidents, no illnesses, and generally no worries, however, it’s always good to know what to do and who to turn to if anything does happen, and someone in your party gets an upset tummy, catches the sun badly or becomes ill from too much alcohol (yes it can happen ;-) even though you think it never will).
The following are the contact details for two local surgeries:

Be aware that a visit to or from a private doctor of which there are many in town will probably cost you between 60 and 75 euros, but you should be able to claim this back on your insurance if need be.
For lesser illnesses, advice on small complaints, and if you’ve lost any medication that you need, you could try visiting a chemist (farmacia) as they are well qualified to help with various problems.  You should easily be able to spot chemists as they all display a green cross outside them, and if they’re closed they should have a sign there to direct you to the nearest duty chemist however this isn’t normally written in English.  You’ll find one chemist about 50 metres from the Sol Trinidad hotel, and another on the sea front near the villa parade office.
