If you’re looking for the cheapest ways to get to Magaluf and Palma Nova from Palma Airport, then the bus is definitely the way to go. There are other options – car hire, taxi, and private airport transfer – but if you’re budget conscious then the bus is the way to go.

The trip from Palma Airport to Magaluf and Palma Nova is quite straight forward, and takes about 90 minutes. It should cost you no more than E5 per person, and although there are connections to be made, they’re pretty easy ones. Initially, you need to begin by taking the special bus from the airport to Palma Bus station. Once at Palma bus station, there are a number of buses which will take you from Palma to Magaluf.

So, if you are a visitor to Majorca, and need to get from the airport to Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa, Peguera, or any of the places in between, when you arrive at the airport and have collected your luggage, walk outside to the large coach park, and make your way to the large bridge which connects the airport building with the carpark. Walk under this bridge towards the carpark, cross the zebra crossing and the bus stop is on the right. From here you can catch the bus into Palma which will cost you approx £1.85 per person. The bus runs every 15 minutes between 6:10am and 2:15am in the summer and till 1:10am in the winter.

Airport buses can get crowded in the summer months, but there is plenty of space for luggage and the names of the stops are clearly displayed on board so you shouldn’t need to worry about missing your stop. When you get off the bus at ‘Porta des Camp’ walk across the road towards the beach and go to the yellow bus stop. From here, you can catch most busses to the Calvia resorts including Palma Nova and Magaluf.

* For Portals catch the 103/104/106/111.
* For Cala Vinyas catch the 107 (this only runs 4 times per day).
* For Santa Ponsa catch the 102/103/104.
* For Magaluf or Palma Nova catch the 104/106/107

For those doing the reverse journey from Magaluf or Palma Nova, take the express 105 bus which takes the motorway and then continues into Palma through the back roads. This is the quickest route and you can get off at this same stop to wait for the airport bus.
